We keep it simple: we don't track you.
WebsiteGecko does not use analytics tools, tracking scripts, or behavioural cookies. We don't know who you are, where you came from, or what you click on. That's by design.
Essentially nothing. Here's the full picture:
Our comparison pages contain affiliate links. When you click one and sign up for hosting, the provider tracks this through their own system (usually a cookie on their site). We receive a commission for the referral.
This tracking happens on the provider's website, not ours. We don't receive any personal data about you from these providers.
Our Website Check tool analyses publicly available information about the URL you enter. The AI-powered analysis is processed via the Anthropic API. We don't store audit results or associate them with your identity.
GeckoBot conversations are processed via the Anthropic API and are not stored on our servers. Rate limiting uses a hashed IP address that resets daily.
If you subscribe to our newsletter (optional), your email address is stored by MailerLite (our email provider). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
This website uses Google Fonts. When you load a page, your browser requests font files from Google's servers. This transmits your IP address to Google. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we don't collect personal data, there's typically nothing to request. But if you have questions, contact us.
